Northwood Tamborine House
- Northwood, New South Wales
- January 2022
Our Northwood project takes full advantage of its location, seeing large volumes engaging with peaceful views across Tamborine Bay. From the street, the house reads as a relatively discrete frontage, however as you proceed through the main entry the tiering floor plate responds to the sites topography, creating a natural flow through the home, whilst the play on ceiling heights and double height voids define an otherwise open plan.
Warmth is intertwined throughout the home with its natural material tones and the textural palate of concrete, timber panelling, limestone cladding and face brick. Internally, fluted timber joinery and wall panelling add warmth to the limestone floors and crisp white walls. Finger mosaic feature walls and bronze hardware add colour to the otherwise natural palette. The result- a warm liveable space that is luxuriously contemporary without feeling cold.
